Terms of Service

Effective July 30, 2026.

These Terms govern your use of Signal Over Noise (the “Service”), a digital publication available at signalovernoise.online. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Signal Over Noise publishes a periodical read online in its original paper form. Some issues are free to the public; others are available only to members with an active subscription.

Accounts

You sign in with your email address via a one-time link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity under your account.

Memberships & billing

Membership is offered on two plans: Standard at $10/month, and Founders Club, a choose-your-price plan starting at $10/month. Every membership begins with a 7-day free trial; a payment method is required up front, but you are not charged during the trial.

After the trial, your membership renews automatically each month at your chosen price until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe, which also acts as merchant of record and handles applicable sales tax. Prices are in U.S. dollars.

Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel anytime from your account’s billing page. Cancel before your free trial ends and you will not be charged. If you cancel a paid membership, it stays active until the end of the current billing period and is not renewed after that.

Monthly charges are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If something went wrong, email hello@signalovernoise.online and we’ll make it right where we reasonably can.

Use of content

Membership is for your personal use. You may not redistribute, resell, or publicly repost paid issues or their contents. All content remains the property of Signal Over Noise and its authors.

Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Signal Over Noise is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
